8th internationale AS Festival in Bled (SLO)
Early february 2024 we were guests at the 8th saxophone festival "AS" in Bled (Slovenia). As a quartet we had some masterclasses with young and talented saxophone ensembles across Europe. During the festival we presented our new CD „En dehors“ as part of a concert.
Highlight of the evening was special guest Gerald Preinfalk. Not only we shared the stage with him also we played some of his compositions.
A big thank you goes to the "österreichische Kulturforum Laibach" for their support.
Spectrum in Italy!
On 27. and 28. of January our quartet was invited to Italy.
We presented our new concert program "Fusion of the centuries" in Milano and Monza.
In this program we merged different musical styles starting from D.Scarlatti to compositions specially written four our ensemble by G.Preinfalk and U. Reicher.
19. World Saxophone Congress
Gran Canaria
On 7. December we were invited as guests to the "World Saxophone Congress" in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In the beautiful hall of the Gabieto Literaio we presented our new CD "en dehors". Also we had the opportunity to present our austrian music in Spain.
We look back at an amazing trip and concterts. New friends and connections were made to stay updated in the wolrd of the saxophone.

The waiting has finally come to an end. Finally it's here!
Our new CD “En dehors” will be released by col legno on December 8th, 2023.
Five compositions by Austrian composers were gathered on this CD to show the diversity of the saxophone and to foreground the Austrian music scene.

Spectrum in Istanbul
On June 3rd and 4th we were invited to the 51st Music Festival in Istanbul. We played 3 concerts during this festival. The first performance took us to Fenehrbaçe Park on the Asian side of the city. The last 2 concerts took place in the Balat district on the European side.

20 years:
New Austrian sound of Music
(NASOM)
The Spectrum Saxophone Quartet was allowed to perform at the 20th anniversary of Nasom in Porgy & Bess (Vienna) on September 5, 2022. Nasom is a sponsorship program by the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria (BMEIA).
Spectrum in the funding program of NASOM
In cooperation with mica – music austria, Austrian Music Export and the Austrian music universities, an expert jury selected five up-and-coming ensembles or musicians in five different genres: classical, jazz, global music, contemporary music and pop/electronic for the new NASOM edition 2023/24.
We are looking forward to work with the Nasom team and hope for many concerts in different countries. Stay tuned
